Gracehill Prep

At Gracehill Prep, we believe that children are natural explorers—scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians in the making. Through play and discovery, they develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. We provide a nurturing environment where curiosity is encouraged, creativity thrives, and strong foundations are built—both in character and academics. By fostering good habits and a solid moral compass, we equip children for success in every area of life.

OUR DREAM

  • A place where children meet Jesus and grow in the deeper truths of the Bible, which is shared with them from Pre-Primary to High School.
  • A school built on the abounding grace of Jesus Christ.
  • A school that fosters honor and respect for all.
  • Children living by the motto: Living fully, Loving widely, Learning creatively.
  • A school with a family atmosphere, where children look out for one another, not only their own interests.
  • Children leaving school as confident young adults:
    • Socially well-adjusted;
    • Knowing who they are in Christ;
    • Academically strong;
    • Environmentally aware and making a difference;
    • Physically fit and healthy;
    • Engaged in their community with a desire to leave a legacy.
  • A school that nurtures character and leadership while embracing innovation and advancement.
  • A place where children have access to state-of-the-art facilities in science, technology, robotics, coding, and IT, equipping them to become problem-solvers, critical thinkers, and future innovators.

OUR PREschool MOTTO

learning * loving * laughing

Young children learn best through play, which is why our preschool is designed to inspire exploration and discovery. Our outdoor play areas feature a dedicated “loose parts” section, where children engage freely with natural materials—developing creativity, problem-solving skills, and cognitive growth without direct adult interference.

The best toys don’t come from a store—nature provides an endless supply of simple yet powerful learning tools. While educators have long recognized the value of natural materials in play, research now confirms their immense educational benefits.

Our play spaces include two water stations, a large sandpit, a music wall, and a sensory pathway lined with herbs and plants to touch and smell. Indoors, children can explore a sensory station filled with colorful rice. For imaginative play, we offer a Wendy House, an outdoor kitchen, and a building station—each carefully designed to spark creativity, collaboration, and joy in learning.

“Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try.”

Dr. Seuss

OUR PRESCHOOL MISSION

To create:

  • a happy, relaxed, homely, nurturing Christian environment with loving, professional teachers.
  • smaller classes which will enable our competent staff to help to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
  • an atmosphere where each child is treated as an individual, and to encourage and develop their own unique strengths.
  • a challenging learning environment, which follows the examples and teachings of Christ, so children can develop to their full potential.

As a Christian pre-school, we focus on developing the child as a whole

Physical

Outside play, gross motor co-ordination, ball skills, dancing, fine motor co-ordination, sensory stimulation (vestibular & proprioceptive), and promoting healthy eating as a lifestyle.

Social

Nurturing characteristics like kindness, attentiveness, honour, patience, love, loyalty, honesty, self-control, etc. as a basis for good relationships; and becoming aware of the community around them.

Intellectual

Focussing on visual & auditory perception skills and mathematics /number concepts; encouraging a love for learning; placing emphasis on language development; learning about important music pieces and art forms; leaving space for creativity.

Emotional

Creating an orderly environment where the child can feel safe, loved, cared for and confident.

Spiritual

Giving a foundation of Christian living, love and obedience; creating a love for the Bible; and focussing on the importance of making Jesus the centre of your life; becoming spiritually alive and active.

Aftercare

  • Afternoon Care is from 12:00 to 17:00.
  • Holiday Care
    During school holidays, we offer an option for Holiday Care. Holiday Care does not include Public Holidays. Holiday Care usually closes for a two / three week period over the December / January holidays.
  • Registration forms for Aftercare are available from Gracehill College office
  • If you wish to withdraw your child, please advise Gracehill College office in writing.

ACTIVITIES

Gracehill Babies and Tots work according to a carefully prepared curriculum that triggers brain activity and helps the young mind develop to its full potential.

…and every other term,
an outing to a nearby age appropriate venue.

Once a semester, we go on an excursion, where we learn, laugh and love in the immediate environment around us.

The teachers assist the children in taking part in a little play every year to help the children grow in drama, song, rhyme and confidence.

Our children are very proud of their veggie patch, which they harvest from time to time and take home to their families.

Class times are filled with time to learn through play. The children exercise their little fingers in preparation for writing and other fine motor skills.

We love to explore our outdoor spaces and give children lots of time to play with loose parts which create opportunities for social interaction, creative and imaginary play, as well as problem solving skills development.

Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself. We, at Gracehill College, believe that “every good gift of knowledge and insight come from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17.

We trust in our Heavenly Father to nurture and equip our children, through a thoroughly researched curriculum and feast of ideas. We strive for an education that is far deeper than mere exams and tests – an education that impacts lives and echoes into eternity
