Educating for life – Ad vitam educatio

OUR DREAM

  • A place where children meet Jesus and grow in the deeper truths of the Bible, which is shared with them from Pre-Primary to High School.
  • A school built on the abounding grace of Jesus Christ.
  • A school that fosters honour and respect for all.
  • Children living by the motto: Living fully, Loving widely, Learning creatively.
  • A school with a family atmosphere, where children look out for one another, not only their own interests.
  • Children leaving school as confident young adults:
    • Socially well-adjusted;
    • Knowing who they are in Christ;
    • Academically strong;
    • Environmentally aware and making a difference;
    • Physically fit and healthy;
    • Engaged in their community with a desire to leave a legacy.
  • A school that nurtures character and leadership while embracing innovation and advancement.
  • A place where children have access to state-of-the-art facilities in science, technology, robotics, coding, and IT, equipping them to become problem-solvers, critical thinkers, and future innovators.

OUR MOTTO

Educating for Life – Ad Vitam Educatio

Education is not merely preparation for life; education is life itself. At Gracehill College, we believe that “every good gift of knowledge and insight comes from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” – James 1:17.

We trust in our Heavenly Father to nurture and equip our children through a thoroughly researched curriculum and a feast of ideas. Our vision goes beyond exams and tests—we strive for an education that transforms lives and echoes into eternity.

Charlotte Mason wisely said, “The formation of habits is education, and education is the formation of habits.” At Gracehill College, we place great value on establishing strong habits as the foundation of both life and learning.

OUR FUTURE

We are history makers, called to build a legacy that will impact generations to come. Established in January 2019, Gracehill College is a thriving Christian school in the heart of George, committed to excellence in academics, culture, social awareness, and sports. From the very beginning, we have believed that this school will grow into a shining light in the Garden Route, transforming lives and shaping communities.

Our vision extends beyond the present—we are committed to raising young boys and girls into confident men and women, equipped to live out their God-given gifts and make a difference. We encourage children to live beyond themselves, to see the beauty in each person and each day, and to seize every opportunity with purpose and gratitude.

At Gracehill, we strive to create a nurturing, Christ-centred environment, where learning is joyful, relationships are strong, and every child is valued. Our passionate and dedicated teachers are deeply invested in each child’s growth, fostering both academic excellence and character development.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to small class sizes, while also expanding our reach to fulfil our vision for the future. We dream of new facilities that will allow us to serve even more families, provide state-of-the-art learning spaces, and continue to offer a holistic, Christ-centred education.

In partnership with Liberty Church, we are deeply invested in serving our local community, trusting God to provide a new home for Gracehill, where our vision can take root and flourish. We walk forward in faith, believing that the best is yet to come!

OUR MISSION

At Gracehill College, our mission is to build a school where Jesus Christ is the cornerstone and central focus, shaping both hearts and minds. We are committed to creating:

  • A place where every child is valued as an individual, with their unique gifts and abilities identified, developed, and celebrated.
  • Small class sizes that allow for individual attention (no more than 18 per class in Junior Primary, 20 in Senior Primary, and 25 in High School).
  • A balanced approach to learning, ensuring adequate time for work during school hours so that homework is kept to a minimum.
  • A nurturing environment where children can excel in their strengths and explore new interests without pressure to perform in every area.
  • A family atmosphere, where everyone is loved, accepted, and treated with honor and respect.
  • An exciting curriculum that fosters active learning, creative thinking, and problem-solving.
  • A school that revives creative thinking by integrating the arts and culture as tools for community upliftment.
  • A foundation for servant leadership, instilling in students the desire to serve others and make a lasting impact.
  • Future-focused facilities, including adult education programs, extended science laboratories, and advanced computer and robotics studios, equipping students for a rapidly evolving world.
  • A space that inspires dreams, with innovative learning areas such as an observatory room, encouraging children to reach for the stars—both figuratively and literally!

Our mission extends beyond academics; we are raising confident, compassionate, and capable young men and women who will make a difference in their communities and beyond.
